Weekly HOT List 11.25.2008
We’re getting into the holiday spirit this week at myScoper.com. Here are just a few activities that’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
ON THANKSGIVING
StellarOne Drumstick Dash 5K :: A race through downtown Roanoke and a good way to prepare for the yummy calorie laden turkey and dressing you’ll be having later. Its is a family-friendly race/walk so bring the kids too to benefit the Roanoke Rescue Mission. The event will help serve approximately 300,000 meals in 2009. Move your feet so others can eat!!
Fashions for Evergreens at Hotel Roanoke and The Inn at Virginia Tech :: Thanksgiving also serves as the kick-off for this annual event. Give your Christmas tree that “Wow!” factor with inspiration from the designers of Fashions for Evergreens. Plus you can vote for your favorite of the 38 professionally designed trees. This event is free and open to the public throughout the holiday season.
THIS WEEKEND
16 Hands Studio Tour :: A weekend long tour through Floyd and Montgomery Counties starting on Friday. This arts event is a self-guided tour visiting four artist studios. Your will see beautifully crafted pottery and woodworking by ten local and visiting artists. Join in for homemade refreshments and fun and the opportunity to purchase local one of a kind gifts for family and friends.
Looking for something different? Of course there’s plenty more going on in our little corner of Virginia so be sure to check out the entire myScoper.com calendar for a super comprehensive look at what’s happening this week.

Thanks for such a great post.
I will definitely be sharing this with my family and friends.
I can't wait to get my artificial Christmas tree out and start decorating it.
Wishing you all the best this holiday season and I'll be coming back often to read your blog.
This is a good post to send to everyone I know and my standard response to people who consider doing anything online. Good one! I can't wait to get my artificial Christmas tree out and start decorating it.
