The snow finally made its way to Roanoke! Make snowmen, wage snowball war, or go find the steepest slope you can and slide down that sucker! Today is a day not to be spent inside (except for that oh occasional hot cocoa break). Enjoy it. And when your muscles ache tonight and all the roads have been cleared, you’ll appreciate the first event on this list:

TODAY

Stretch, Strengthen, & Relax

DETAILS: Combining fundamentals of yoga and pilates, this class focuses on strength and flexibility and attention to breath and alignment while exploring movement practices that integrate the freedom and function of the muskulo-skeletal system. Every Monday.

Pee-Wee Picassos

DETAILS: 6-8 year olds. Even young children can be inspired by famous artists. Each class explores a new artist or style through fun facts and visuals. Students will then have a chance to create their own artwork inspired by these styles and artists. Every Tuesday through March 17th.

Mill Mountain Challenge

TIME: 7am (8hr race), 11am (4hr race)
PLACE: Mill Mountain Star / Discovery Center, Roanoke, VA

DETAILS: A hiking / orienteering race using a map and compass to find different check points in the woods. Each place will have a different point value. The person or team with the most points wins. This is a great time for families, boy scouts or anyone that loves the outdoors.
