“Inside all of us is a Wild Thing”
Where The Wild Things Are premieres on the big screen in local theaters tomorrow, Friday, October 16th (check our movie listings page for times). But the real adventure begins when you gather up your own little wild things for a nature walk with KIVA (Kids in the Valley Adventuring) to Where The Local Wild Things Are on Halloween, October 31st, at 10am.
The whole family is invited on a nature walk in your costumes (no scarries please)! KIVA will follow the Wolf Creek Greenway trail in search of wild things beginning at the Hardy Road side. You may go for the walk, or stay a little longer and bring a picnic lunch… all without missing any Trick-or-Treating later that night.
KIVA is a program that hosts FREE monthly outdoor events that showcase great opportunities for families to reconnect with nature in the Roanoke Valley. For more information about KIVA, check out their website or visit their Facebook group.
Their motto: Play, Learn, Volunteer!
