FREE Coffee Tasting at The Water Heater!

December 9, 2009 7-10pm

Tonight at 7pm Star City Coffee and The Water Heater (813 5th Street, SW, 24016) will host a FREE coffee tasting. Stop by to enjoy a cup of brew or several. The idea is to democratically vote new blends into the Star City Repertoire. The Water Heater (Arts Venue), Pretty Pistols (Indie Crafters, Fashion and Photography), and Keirin Culture Bicycles (custom bicycles) will choose their specialty blends and you can help! Stop by and have some java and vote for combos you like best.

Meet Star City Coffee (yum-may!)

So often we don’t have any choice. Why be limited in your choice of coffee? Shouldn’t one of the most important drinks in your day, be completely yours? This was our feeling and why we started our company. We want you to have the most options so you can have the most enjoyment. Be bold … discover … enjoy.

Coffee in cafes & stores is usually roasted at one level across the board. The Columbian beans look the same as the Sumatra. Those who prefer darker brews may buy “French Roast” but from what origin country? You aren’t told. We have found that the same coffee can taste wildly different when roasted to varied levels. You’ll see for yourself the variety of tastes to be discovered.

We provide ALL of our coffees at roasts from Extra Light to Extra Dark. Each of these levels highlight specific traits found at the different roast temperatures. In our Single Origin Blends, we mix different roasts of the same coffee to showcase traits that can only be found in combination. Then if that wasn’t enough we provide a number of Multiple Origin Blends for yet more enjoyment. Can you discover your favorite cup?

Do you like light, crisp, clean, and refreshing? Do you like dark, aromatic, fullbodied, and robust? Or do you like something with a little of everything? Your choice is yours and should always be yours. Let us help you explore our coffees so you can discover your Enlightened Choice. –Star City Coffee
