IT’S LIVE!

The long-awaited RoanokeOutside.com is now live!  Please take a moment and go to www.roanokeoutside.com to see the fruits of our labors.

The new site is the first of its kind dedicated to the Roanoke, Virginia region and was developed with hundreds of suggestions from area residents (like yourself) who shared their favorite hiking and biking trails, fishing holes, camping spots, kid activities, gear shops, as well as features they wanted to see on the site. Others employed GPS-equipped phones to map out trails.

RoanokeOutside.com covers the greater Roanoke, Virginia area that stretches from Douthat State Park to Smith Mountain Lake between the James River and New River.

We have dedicated a year to developing the leading source of information about the Roanoke, Virginia region’s greatest asset – the outdoors.  Making the outdoors an important part of our region’s narrative and economy starts with a dynamic Web site that catalogues our natural resources and makes it easier for people all over the world to learn about and enjoy what we have to offer.

To help spread the word about the site and increase global exposure, I hope your business will add a link to RoanokeOutside.com from your home page.

Want to help make it even better? Here are a few things you can do while you are exploring the site:

We welcome your comments, observations, and suggestions! It is people like you that are helping make Roanoke one of the best outdoor towns around.

Get Outside!
